Pewter BOWL, with console ears with ribboned outline decorated with palmettes on a checkered background and its nippled lid with mushroom grip engraved with trees and floral motifs.
Control hallmark: FF crowned / 79 / R. (FF for fine pewter and R for ROUEN)
Hallmark of Pierre Gaspard LAMARE received master in 1767: crowned hammer / PGL
Length: 30.4 cm.
ROUEN, From the year 1779

In Rouen, unlike many centers, the control was updated very regularly which allows precise dating as is the case here.
Good condition, a slight wear of the engraving of the lid is however reported.
