The most important period of his sculptural work was the 1960s. Later, he also devoted himself to drawing and painting. His wooden sculptures are inspired by the rural environment. Archetypal wooden sculptures are inspired by the genius of the place of a given place. He created the concept of "protective deities" of the house, totemic symbols and abstract forms of the environment - especially folk architecture and trees. A frequent motif is the woman and natural signs (The Madonna of the Forest, 1966). In painting, he often depicted the motif of carnival masks. A characteristic feature of his work was the connection with nature and the village. A significant part of his work consisted of wooden toys, which, in their simplicity, are close to futuristic toys for adults. The author also created some of them in a larger format for children's playgrounds, for example in Piešťany.
