Great art nouveau pocket emptier. It is possible to fix it to the wall. Georges Delpérier was admitted to the École des beaux-arts de Paris4 and to the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, he was a student of Gabriel-Jules Thomas5, Moreau-Vauthier5, Vital-Cornu5, Gauthier6 and Alexandre Falguière7. In 1895, he followed his wife Catherine Joséphine Barbe Berthelon (1865-1955) who was appointed to the École normale supérieure de Tours as a science professor8. In Tours, he devoted his life to artistic creation: he participated in the decoration of shows, in the decoration of a float for the summer festival in Tours9, during the Triumphal March in 1919 the model of his Poilu appeared as a decoration that we will find on several war memorials10, he designed costumes for the Tours festivals11, made sculptures, monuments, pastels, paintings, watercolors, enamels, and did restoration work as a curator. His works have featured in numerous exhibitions in Paris, Toulouse, Blois, Angers and Poitiers in particular. Also a collector, he will donate his collections and the many models of his creations to institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours or the Educational Museum in Paris. He is the curator of the lapidary museum of the cloister of La Psalette in Tours12. A member of the Society of French Artists, he exhibited every year at the Salon of French Artists from 1885 and was awarded a bronze medal and a medal of honor in 19257. He was named a knight of the Legion of Honor by decree of January 14, 192513. He is also a member of the Friendly Society of French Painters and Sculptors, vice-president of the Literary and Artistic Society of Touraine, a member of the Archaeological Society, a member of the Friends of Art Commission and a member of the Museums Commission.
