An excellent quality and good condition example of the work of the French Post-Impressionists capturing a colorful sunlit view of St. Mark's with figures in the foreground. Signed and presented in its original frame. Dimensions: 34" x 30" framed approximately Artist Biography Ferdinand Fargeot was a student at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, where he was declared hors concours. He also exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and in numerous group exhibitions abroad. He illustrated the novels of Paul de Kock and painted a decorative panel for the ocean liner Île-de-France. He served in World War I and was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.
