Important and beautiful chest of drawers stamped by HANSEN Hubert in Louis XV period marquetry. It opens with 4 drawers, beautiful finely chiseled and gilded bronze trim. Beautiful original marble with corbin beak, Parisian work from the beginning of the 18th century, it bears the H.HANSEN stamp preceded by the JME jurande punch. In good condition, old restoration. Dimensions: H 88 x W 145 x D 64 cm After obtaining his mastery in 1747, Hansen set up his workshop on rue de Charenton and died a few years later, in 1756. The many works he left are in the Louis XV style, classical in form, worked with great taste and great elegance, generally in rosewood and violet wood veneer richly decorated with flowers, branches and bronzes with rocailles.
