Very rare Marine Chronometer (Mathew Norman). Entirely in aluminum.
Alu dial, with indexes, white hands and central red second hand.
Electric movement running Junghans on a battery.
Aluminum case, with movement mounted on a cardan like all Marine chronometers.
This is the first time in my career that I have seen this type of chronometer.
Why in aluminum, rather than wood? Maybe to protect the movement from certain electromagnetic waves.
Perfect working order.
