Carved and red lacquered wooden dish with a running rabbit decoration in gindame silver lacquer signed Kakutaro Yamazaki (1899-1984). On the back, a calligraphy in black lacquer, certainly commemorative. The edge is also lacquered in silver. The artist has been awarded many times, notably in 1954, with the Prize of the Academy of Arts of Japan, as well as the title of Cultural Merit in 1966, in 1970 decorated with the Order of the Sacred Treasure and in 1977 with the Order of the Rising Sun.
