Old oval dish with a decoration of four branched birds and a floral motif in the Rouen style; interlacing of blue chains on a yellow background on the rim. Circa 1870 1880 Decor called Sinceny birds Perfect condition, no breakage, no cracks. Just a firing defect. Dimensions 42 cm by 26 cm Beautiful documentation on this earthenware with a similar model presented at the Breton departmental museum in Quimper A similar model in the decoration is listed in album n°2 ("Rouen plates") of the Porquier-Beau earthenware albums (plate n°14, Breton departmental museum collection, inv. 1992.5.1.14.).
