"Floche Silk Rabat Embroidery Inspired By Fauve Painters - Moroccan Chest Top Late 19th Century"
Late 19th century Morocco Beautiful chest top in Rabat embroidery with subtle polychromy inspired by French Fauve painters. Reversible embroidery of silk floche on a cream cotton background made with a launched stitch. Bump effect in muted tones whose color changes remain random depending on the mood of the embroiderer and the silk threads available! Very Belle Epoque composition including chocolate, squirrel, taupe, purple, parma, black, eggplant and beige! Graphics with pointillist touches, whose repetition of patterns remains imperfect and random. This embroidery has nothing to do with the 20th century productions found on the markets. No defects apart from a structural fragility when handled. Good general condition of conservation and color. Dimensions: a diamond of approximately 95 cm x 60 cm
