"Constructivist Miniature Gouache 1960s"
Constructivist miniature painting in gouache in the style of Fernad Léger or the Espace et Mesure Group, active between the 1950s and 1970s. Built with solids and voids, neutral and colored surfaces, the practice of construction was intended to familiarize the artist with the methods of architectural and functional creation, and thus prepare him for his role "in developing the environment in which modern man would have lived". Constructivism focuses on rigorous geometric composition and is therefore non-figurative. It combines simple geometric shapes, such as circles or triangles, to create three-dimensional skeletal structures. Constructivism affects architecture as well as theater, dance, painting and all forms of art.
