"Napoleon III Gilded Pomponne Crystal And Bronze Thermometer Inkwell "
An inkwell that gives you the temperature, you admit that it is not commonplace. Its gilded pomponne bronze mount is made in the naturalist taste of the end of the 19th century, it accommodates the inkwell-cup feather collector in cut crystal formed in a single piece. Above, here is the thermometer formed from a white glass plate with the Réaumur and Centigrade graduations as it was still customary to do under the Second Empire and on which is fixed the capillary tube with the mercury.
