Paul Pascal (1867 - 1945) was born in Melun. He is a French painter, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris by A. Maignan and Jean-Léon Gérôme. He is known for his landscapes, nature scenes and portraits, influenced by Impressionism. He exhibited at the French artists from 1894, and became a member. In love with Brittany, he produced many landscapes and genre scenes there. Although he is less famous than other artists of his time, his work is appreciated for its sensitivity to light and its ability to capture the atmosphere. His works are kept in regional museums in France.
