"Bust Of A Woman On A Column"

Sculpture made of fake marble in the 50s, resting on a fake marble wooden column, replica of the famous work by Pietro Calvi (1833 - 1884) (of which it bears the apocryphal signature) inspired by the history and life of Princess Selika. This work was commissioned by the French actor Jean Marais, who owned the original, to be used in the sets of the film "Futures Vedettes" which he played alongside the very young Brigitte Bardot.
