Chamdân Torch, Kadjar Art, Rare Candlestick In Chiseled & Openwork Brass, Iran, Persia, 19th Century

Rare Persian column torch called Chamdân from Iran, Persia of the 19th century.
It has two two-tone brass handles, the whole finely openworked with roses, chiseled with floral motifs, friezes and mandorlas with courtly decoration. Princes and princesses in medallions and polylobed cartouches.

The Kadjar dynasty or Kadjars (Qājār, Qadjar, Qajar, Persian: قاجار)
is a Turkmen dynasty that reigns over Iran from 1786 to 1925.
The finesse of the chiseling shows the dexterity of the Persian engravers.
A true masterpiece of Persian art!!! These wonderful coppers and brasses, were under the Safavid or Qajar dynasties, an eminent alternative to silver and they enjoyed the same status.
These objects certainly lived as the centerpieces of Persian houses.
