Laurent-Honoré Marqueste (Toulouse 1848 - Paris 1920) - French artist, student of François Jouffroy and Alexandre Falguière, made sculptures mainly in the academic style. Prix de Rome in 1871, prize of the Universal Exhibition of Paris in 1900. His works are numerous in French museums and he also made monumental sculptures and monuments such as the marble sculpture representing Nessus and Dejanira (1892) in the Tuileries garden in Paris. Siot-Decauville - a bronze foundry that existed in Paris from 1881 to 1926. It made the casts of many famous artists such as Albert Bartholomé, Jean-Léon Gérôme, Jean-Antoine Injalbert, Émile Laporte and Raoul Larche, for example.
