"Huge Graphometer Nested In Fleurdelys Leather Case, Meurand, Louis XV Period"
A truly very large pinnule graphometer, well marked Meurand in Paris, circa 1775, plate nicely cut and engraved of foliage, complete and in good condition. It has been well protected by its original wooden box, covered in basane leather, struck by a myriad of fleur-de-lys shapes, measuring 39cm x 21cm x 15cm.
Engraving is of good quality, bottom of compass is silvery, with a beautiful compass rose, on back: setting of the magnetic needle, a beautiful object that does not go unnoticed!
Dimensions: instrument: 36cm x 18cm. Weight of the whole: 3.8kg.
Condition: good, no flaws on instrument, the box deserves some care, it will be splendid.
