"Important Portrait Of A Woman, Allegory Of Summer, 18th Century. (144cm X 114)."
Important full-length portrait of a young woman, posing in a summer landscape at dusk. This is an oil on canvas, executed by a French school in the second half of the 18th century. Work in the style of Nicolas de Largillière (1656-1746). The young woman holds a billhook in her right hand, and ears of wheat in her left hand. It is a representation of the allegory of summer. With limited brightness in the background, the foreground, with the young woman represented, is very bright. This painting is in good condition, it was previously relined and restored. (Some restorations visible). Its dimensions are quite large: 144cm x 114cm. This oil on canvas does not have a frame because it was certainly incorporated into a wood paneling.
