A six-panel folding screen painted on paper depicting a flock of manchurian cranes in flight among the clouds. The silver leaf background, with delicate gold highlights, adds brightness and depth.

Period: Meiji late 19th century.
Dimensions: 173 x 365 cm.
Condition: Excellent condition with signs and wear consistent with the era. There are defects in the paper joints of the 1st and 2nd and 5th and 6th panels. Restoration at the top left of the 3rd panel. Small cut in the silk frame between the 1st and 2nd panels. A barely visible crack at the bottom at the level of the 6th panel. Lacquered wooden frame completely professionally restored and relined at the back.
