Oil on canvas "Fez view from the terrace of the riad" signed, located and dated lower right Fez. Paul Hannaux 29. Orientalist school. French school. 81 X 60 cm. Paul Hannaux (1897-1954) was a student of Ernest Joseph Laurent (1859-1929). He was a travel scholarship holder in Spain in 1924, then a resident of the Casa Velasquez in Madrid. He participated in the Salon d'Automne and the Salon des Tuileries. (Sources: Bénézit dictionary of painters and sculptors). The Museums of Algiers, The Hague, the Petit Palais in Paris, Madrid, Metz, Oran, Bayonne and Constantine hold some of his works. Wooden frame and gilded and painted stucco later. A small restoration at the top right. Good condition.
