"Louis Tesson (1820-1870), Decamps Student, Animated Scene, Orient, Bazaar, Signed Watercolor, Frame"
Very beautiful street scene by Louis TESSON (1820-1870), student of Alexandre Gabriel DECAMPS representing a Bazaar in the Orient. If we know this painter for some landscapes in Normandy and Provence, he is especially famous for his views of the countries of the MAGHREB. He gives us here a beautiful example as much by the construction of his drawing as the colors used and the atmosphere rendered. TESSON exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1841 to 1867. With a beautiful frame that highlights it, this watercolor is framed with a golden rod that adds to the opulence of the scene.
