A great collector of fossils and trilobites, Pia Manu takes a fossil form in tin that he superimposes on the table top in slate mosaics.

Acquired directly from the artist in 1983 by the previous owner. Representative of the Flemish brutalists, he models or sculpts primitive forms with materials with a powerful or anti-poetic texture (as he himself calls them) using concrete, earth and slate.
