Eugène Vergez was a landscape painter born in Bordeaux in 1846. He studied at the Bordeaux School of Fine Arts where he was a student of Pierre-Emile Bernède. He belonged to the Bordeaux school of landscape. He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1879 to 1904 and at the Bordeaux Salon from 1866.
