Superb decorative plaque dating from the 1930s, illustrating the craze for Egyptomania that followed the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. Made of enameled bronze, it presents a stylized Egyptian motif. Our work is a resumption of the chair back found in Tutankhamun's tomb (last photo) representing the god Heh kneeling with his arms outstretched supporting the sky.
