Wooden travel trunk covered with canvas, curved with three wooden rods, with riveted iron fittings and two Victor-type locks.
The trunk has retained its self-adhesive tourist labels, showing stays at the Grand Canal Hotel in Venice, Italy, or the Hôtel d'Angleterre and the Savoy Hotel in Cairo, Egypt.
Founded in 1833, EAGLE LOCK COMPANY was located in Terryville, Connecticut. It closed its doors in 2008.
