"Dancing Faun Playing Cymbals - Bronze - 19th Century "
Beautiful bronze dating from the end of the 19th century. It represents the dancing faun who plays with cymbals and another instrument under his right foot. The original is an antique in marble kept at the Uffizi in Florence. This is a very beautiful print with a beautiful brown patina. Note a tiny defect on the left arm. The chiseling is beautiful and nervous. No mark or signature appears on this object, we can however compare it to the prints made by the museum of Naples.
