"17th Century Carved And Gilded Wooden Emilian Frame"
Splendid example of Emilian Baroque with full-bodied acanthus leaf scrolls that are one of the peculiarities of Emilian frames. The acanthus leaf motif treated here with the usual plasticism is combined with that of the flowers on the sides and in the center in the upper part in strong projection, giving the whole a great volumetric effect. Good state of conservation compatible with the era and the state of use.
