"Wooden Mannequin Bust, Late 18th Century"
Delightful mannequin bust depicting a female figure of a Saint or Madonna; the polychrome part is in papier-mâché, the body is entirely in wood, the arms are movable without hands. The figure was originally modeled anatomically only in the upper part, a structural solution branched off from the hips that allowed the sculpture to be stable, making it light and easy to transport, the entire structure was then covered with the clothes of the time. Glass eyes and wig with a valuable original hairstyle. It is in good condition. Probably a southern workshop.
