"Mons 1772, Pair Of Twisted Candlesticks, Louis XV, Solid Silver "
Lovely pair of Louis XV period twisted candlesticks in a fleur de coin condition. Even their hallmarks are perfectly preserved and legible, because this goldsmith used to have these candlesticks hallmarked on the inside of the navel rather than on the outer edge of the foot. One can perfectly read the hallmarks AE crowned (Albertus and Elisabeth) the tower of Mons, the vintage 72 crowned and the D containing an L of the master goldsmith who despite his important production has remained anonymous until now. The pair weighs 500 grams.
