Horse hunter officer's sabre, Directoire period, consulate, 1st Empire. 18th century Brass mount with short tail cap and rivet button. Joint arc with 2 fillets arriving at a right angle on the crossguard with 2 baguette ears. 1-edged blade and pointed counter-edge of 16 cm. Straight blade with rounded T-shaped back and dorsal fuller along the length. Blade engraved with a third of weapons trophies and scrolls on remains of gold background. Leather scabbard with 2 brass fittings cut and decorated with line. Chappe with 1 ring and 1 chape button with embellished rivet dart at its end.
