some fruit painted in warm, precise colours, which dates back to the 1930s.

Ivan Cerf (1883 -1963) studied at the Liège Academy where he had Jules Lefebvre as a teacher.
He exhibited from 1924 to 1940 at the Salon National and from 1922 to 1942 at the Salon d'Autumnal.
Finally in Paris, he exhibited his works at the Tuileries from 1927 to 1929.
He likes to paint his works in the ‘Midi de la France’ his paintings are luminous.
Paintings by this artist can be found in the Liège Museum.
