"Louis XVI Period Chest Of Drawers Stamped E. Avril (1748-1791)."

Medium-sized chest of drawers, in marquetry of violet wood and rosewood. Opening with three drawers mounted with dovetails on oak and fir. 4 round sheathed feet, beautiful handles and lock entries in gilded bronze, with ribbon beads. White Carrara marble top in fair condition. (A small crack, see photo.) Small restorations of use. Polished with a tampon by our workshop. Delivery possible, please contact us. Etienne Avril (1748-1791) – cabinetmaker – master's degree obtained on November 23, 1774: Cabinetmaker during the reign of Louis XVI.
