Silk painting mounted in a traditional Japanese scroll, called kakejiku. The artist has depicted thistle flowers and butterflies in a very elegant and delicate way. Kakejiku painting scrolls are a traditional Japanese medium suitable for their interior. In the reception room, there is an alcove (tokonoma) facing the guest of honor. Depending on the season, the event or the guest, the host chooses a kakejiku that he hangs in the tokonoma, as well as a floral arrangement and a sculpture (okimono).
