Oil on canvas Dim without frame 92/70 cm Dim with frame 118/91 cm French school Signed Chatinière 1898 Born in April 1828 in Montpellier (Hérault). 19th century. French. Painter and lithographer. Pupil of Mattet. He appeared at the Paris Salon in 1859, 1861 and 1867. Museums: Pontoise: Couple of lovers on horseback, young rider and young girl near a fountain. Sète: Return from the fields Our painting represents a jovial and happy servant, she brings a lot of cheerfulness when we look at her, in our rather gloomy periods let's say that it feels good. We could compare our painting to the Beautiful Chocolate Maker by Liotard, an 18th century painter, in such light tones.
