Charming little paintings, painted in oil on panel, forming a pair respectively titled on the back "L'heureuse mère" and "Mignon". Each monogrammed "LR" at the bottom left for one, on the right for the other. Titled, signed Léon Richet and dated 1880 on the back, all by the hand of the artist himself. They are highlighted by their identical original frame, gilded with leaf and decorated with a cartouche with the artist's name. A famous artist of the Barbizon School, Léon Richet is listed in the Bénézit. His works were exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1869 to 1906.
