Jean-Charles GEORGET (1833-1895) The frog pond Jean Charles Georget (1833-1895) was born in Farcy-Les-Lys. In 1875, he exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes de Paris. At the age of twenty-eight, Georget lived with the artistic elite of Paris, but later preferred the calm and tranquility of Farcy Les Lys, a twin village of Barbizon, south of Paris and near Fontainebleau, where he could paint the light and beauty of the forest or the Seine.
