- Long silver skewers ending with a circular cutout holding a free ring.
- Skewers are essential elements of French service for the presentation of different dishes to guests: twenty-four “hachettelets” are described in the service of Louis XV at the castle of Louis XV in Choisy provided by the goldsmiths Germain, Besnier and Roëttiers. nine in the inventory after the death of the Duke of Aumont in 1782… These items are listed in the small serving dishes among the salt spoons, the small coffee spoons… Four particularly simple brooches by the goldsmith Jacques-Nicolas Roëttiers dated 1773 are listed in the collections of the Louvre Museum (Inv. OA11318-21).
