"Modernist "nevada" Pocket Tray - Le Corbusier / Adnet - 1940s/50s"
Iconic piece of French design! Art Deco / modernism transition. Impeccable condition! Made by the Saint GOBAIN establishments, these "NEVADA" model glass tiles were produced between the 1930s and 1950s and used by the greatest post-war designers such as Jacques ADNET, LE CORBUSIER or Pierre CHAREAU. ADNET integrated this NEVADA glass tile into an ashtray that became an iconic work of the artist (see photo). CHAREAU used these tiles for the creation of the "glass house" at the end of the 1920s, located at 31 rue st guillaume in Paris 7th (see photo) It is also an emblematic material of CORBUSIER in many of his works ...
