Imposing Louis XVI Centerpiece Cup In Porcelain And Gilt Bronze, 19th Century.

Exceptional very large porcelain cup in the Sèvres style with a rich gilded and chiseled bronze mount. The "celestial blue" colored cup presents two beautiful hand-painted scenes.
The first with the allegory of Fire, with putti forging arrows, the second simulating Water, with young angels having fun at the edge of a stream. The lip decorated with scrolls, acanthus leaves and two lion muzzles biting a ring, simulating catches.

Magnificent chiseled and gilded bronze base composed of a trio of Cupid-bearers sitting on rocks.
Very good condition, restoration to a bow.
Napoleon III period.
