Painter, born in Morocco, Samir Salemi moved to France at the age of 18. Since then he has lived and worked there, particularly in the south of France. His love of colors and the passion of the great painters from the American school led him, 20 years ago, to express himself on canvas. He painted first for himself, as if he had to exhort his feelings, his emotions. Isolated in his studio, Samir Salemi worked with color, tackled large formats, appropriating all the techniques. It was only after a few years, solicited by his relatives, that he timidly agreed to exhibit. The trained or untrained eye of his audience does not remain insensitive and this motivates him to continue. His last stays on the native Earth trigger in him a trigger, an irrepressible need to reconnect with his roots. Because Samir Salemi has remained an unconditional lover of the Kingdom (land of colors and lights) which has inspired many of his works.
