Excerpt from “A Century of Painting in the Basque Country” by Alexandre Hurel and Michel de Jaureguiberry (page 144): “The strength of Deletang: Deletang leaves a considerable body of work, a unique testimony to an incredible pictorial strength with multiple facets. Capable of working in a classical manner, he was also open to free chromatic interpretations, instilling some Cubist or Fauvist acquisitions, then drawing renewed strength from Expressionism, without ever abandoning a traditional formal approach; his works draw from it an exceptional evocative power. » The Basque Museum of Bayonne, the museums of Pau, Rouen, Lyon, Nantes, and Reims have a work by Deletang.
