Beautiful and elegant wedding barometer in gilded wood dating from the 1st Empire, around 1805, very early 19th century. We present a barometer carved with pecking birds surrounded by laurel leaves, a quiver, arrows, a bow and a flame symbolizing love. Its frame is decorated with acanthus leaves. It bears the mention Torricelly, born October 15, 1608 in Faenza in Emile-Romagna and died October 25, 1647 in Florence, is an Italian physicist and mathematician of the 17th century, known for having invented the barometer.
