"Gilt And Champleve Bronze Fireplace Trim"
Fine late 19th century French garniture comprising a pair of candlesticks and a pendulum clock in a matching set. The garnitures are boldly cast with a Rococo influence in the Louis XV style, decorated with a beautiful champlevé teardrop at the base of each piece. The five-branched candlesticks have a champlevé ribbon along the central column leading to the base of the branches. Each sconce is decorated with champlevé accents. The central clock has a champlevé dial and Roman numerals surrounded by abstract shields. The clock has a gold finish throughout. Dimensions: - clock 47 cm high; - candlesticks 52 cm high. Minor wear consistent with age.
