Pierre Le Faguays (French, 1892–1962): A pair of Art Deco patinated bronze figural bookends.
Formed as a faun and nymph, the bases signed and numbered respectively LAUREL 39 and 41,
one of a number of pseudomyns used by Le Faguays.
On verdi antico marble bases, 20.5cm high and 19.5cm high,
the plinths are 13.2cm wide and 10cm deep.
