"16th Century Renaissance Arm Chair "
Armchair or ceremonial armchair in oak wood, square rear legs with beveled corners, front legs turned into ringed columns. Openwork backrest decorated in the middle with a baluster upright. The legs are mounted on balls and joined by a frame with four crosspieces. The armchair is a seat derived from the caquetoire and the armchair equipped with armrests and a backrest. Engrossed rear legs, rear part of the seat as well as a crosspiece of the frame and the four balls of feet are posterior. Height of the seat is 53.5cm. France second half of the 16th century.
