"Manjadou Provençal Arlesien 18th Century "
Manjadou Provençal Arlesien 18th CENTURY, in solid walnut and in perfect condition The majadou was a piece of furniture in which salted meat, cheese, bread, etc. were placed in the upper part, maps, napkins and cutlery in the large central drawer, and dishes in the lower part which served as a buffet. The manjadous, even at the time, were very rare. Panetières were very often found, but they were only used for bread. Note the openwork lower crosspiece, typical of Provençal Arlesian or Nîmes furniture, certainly from "Fourques".
