"Mle 1919 Kepi Of Doctor Lieutenant Colonel Of The Colonial Troops."
Kepi model 1919 of a doctor lieutenant colonel of the Colonial Troops. Kepi whose model was modified in the 1930s by the addition of the bandalium for the structure and the frame of the headband. This kepi, without manufacturer, is of beautiful manufacture and particular to the Colonial Troops, with a crimson velvet headband, rather well preserved here, and a black turban/cap. The visor is made of leather, the visor reed, very thick, also. The anchor is gold in color, as it should be. The two buttons holding the false chinstrap are in the motif of the Colonial Troops. Not so common kepi, for this rank and for this specialty, it holds a good place among the kepis of the Colonial Troops. It is described in Article 41, Chapter II, Title II of the Description of the uniforms of the Colonial Troops (France, Algeria, Tunisia, External Theaters of Operations, Colonies), volume closed on April 1, 1935, published by Charles-Lavauzelle & Cie.
