Jean-Claude Goualch graduated from the Beaux-Arts in Nantes in 1958. He opened his workshop, the "Kerbigot" pottery in Guidel in the 1960s. His production combines modernity and Breton culture and is sometimes reminiscent of the work of the artists of the Keraluc factory near Quimper.
He was president of the Société Lorientaise des Beaux Arts from 2008 to 2011.
