Blackened wooden box, marquetry of brass, mother-of-pearl and blue and red tinted tortoiseshell, from the Napoleon III period (circa 1850-70), opening with a "SUSSE Fréres" flap. It opens onto a mahogany veneer interior. The front and the upper part decorated with interlacing and floral cartouches, rests on a base depicting stylized ebony scrolls, functional lock with its key, signed by the SUSSE fréres workshops on the lock. Good condition for the age and this type of product, although it is not perfect. the complex inlays and the boule work remain in good condition, I will note that there are some surface imperfections related to age. The box is not warped, so it closed smoothly and evenly, a crack in the bottom of the box.
