Well preserved and with its usual maintenance this beautiful chest with the compact proportion is in a solid patinated stained walnut, generous low cornice with beautiful molding, with riveted hinges on the top and very complete with its lock of the period remarkably preserved and having kept its key which works; intended to be moved (weight), it is very complete with its large handles of wrought iron patinated on both sides. It was in the corridor of a castle in Gascony, it is purely mid-17th century sober and elegant at the same time, practical for storing things and of a certain decorative interest, treated and of beautiful dark color time having had its effect also on the glaze
