French painter born in Tours in 1922, he lived in Montluçon from his childhood. He was a teacher in many villages in Allier before becoming a drawing teacher in Montluçon from 1955, until his retirement in 1977. Self-taught painter of poetic realism tendency, as he defined himself, he was the painter of gypsies, funfairs, animated scenes, but also ponds and hollows of clear water. Holder of the gold medal of French artists in 1968, he exhibited everywhere in France and abroad, notably in Japan.
